If you ever met my mother, Christine Robinson, you would know that she was a woman of power and grace. She carried herself with an excellence few still value today. She commanded attention and yet demanded nothing from anyone. She was a woman you noticed; yet could also blend into any situation to ensure the attention went to the proper people. She was happy in the background and comfortable when in the spotlight.

From an early age, I remember feeling like my mother was a friend, hero, and teacher wrapped into this package I was blessed to call Mommy. I am who I am today because of all she has taught me and because of the example she gave me as she lived out the words she spoke to and over me.

This website, my work, and all that I do is dedicated to her. She left this world physically on January 25, 2022, the hardest day of my life to date. Some say that without full depth of meaning; I mean it with every power of the word “hardest.” I am still grieving and processing how to move on in life without my best friend, mentor, and teacher.

My mother was a woman who let you know how special you were from the first moment you engaged with her. Whether you were a child at Christine’s Preschool Academy, a friend from church, or a complete stranger, she made you feel welcomed in her space. You had purpose. You had meaning. You belonged.

She taught me that people mattered and that we all had to do our part to serve others. She demonstrated what it meant to do for others without draining yourself and leaving your family behind. She exemplified servant leadership and ethical business leadership. She was a mother who could nurture you, a businesswoman who could guide you into setting up a successful business, and a faith leader who could empower you to understand scripture and go deeper with the Lord. She walked out being a virtuous woman (Proverbs 31) and showed us children that there is room for grace, perseverance, and faith in every facet of our lives – with ourselves and with others.

You may never have met my mother. In fact, you may not even have met me yet. But you will know her legacy just by seeing the work I do as an Early Childhood Educator, businesswoman, and human. May you be blessed and realize you too can change others’ lives just by being you. One life at a time, you have the ability to be the reason someone smiles today, through who you are and what you do. Bless you!

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
